Loyalist College is pleased to invite members of the community to visit the Ten Thousand Villages Holiday Sale on Tuesday, December 4 through to Thursday, December 6 from 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
The Loyalist post-graduate International Support Worker (ISW) program invited Ten Thousand Villages to host the event, which will help to educate students, staff and the community on the importance of being a conscientious consumer and choosing fair trade markets. Ten percent of all sales will go to support Friends with Migrant Workers, a grassroots community organization in Brighton, Ontario.

Loyalist International Support Worker program is a one-year post-graduate certificate, one of the only programs of its kind in Canada where students learn to support international development through experiential student-centred education, hands-on learning and international internships.
Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit organization and the oldest and largest Fair Trade organization in North America, selling artisan-crafted personal accessories, home decor and gift items from around the globe. It is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and creates opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to market through long-term, fair trading relationships.
