Students Learn About the Many Resources Offered at Loyalist

Career and Student Success Services hosted Campus Connections 2011 to show new and returning students the many ways that Loyalist is prepared to help them have the best college experience possible. College representatives were available to explain the types of activities and support services offered – and students were able to ask questions about areas that included the Aboriginal Resource Centre, Athletics, Campus Recreation, Financial Services, Second Career, Student Success Services, Student Government and the College’s Respect Initiative.

Emily Walsh, a General Arts and Science student, thought the event was a great way to learn about the services that are available. ”I just completed a class project on the Aboriginal Resource Centre and through my research discovered that a wonderful resource it is. There is such a sense of community at the centre and the individuals working there extend a warm welcome to everyone. Today is a great opportunity for students to learn that there are many wonderful resources and services here – when we access them our college experience is enhanced in a very positive way.”
