Student Governor Joins the Loyalist Board of Governors

September 09, 2011

A new Student Governor has joined the Board of Governors of Loyalist College.

Lise Rouleau was elected as Student Governor earlier this year.  She graduated from the Business/HR program in June 2011 and currently is enrolled in the Post-Graduate Public Relations program.   Lise volunteered as a project manager with the Loyalist College SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) Team during the past year.  An active volunteer, she has also served as an Organizational Chair for the local chapter of Family Campers and RV’ers.  Recently she opened The Bells and Whistles Family Inn in Picton. Prior to attending Loyalist, she spent more than 12 years in the hospitality industry as manager/operator of an inn, restaurant owner/operator, senior baker, and assistant manager/cashier. She also has experience as a French technical support agent for Stream International.

Two other Governors were re-elected to serve a second term on the Board. Pat Dockrill will represent the Faculty, and Tony Orrick will represent the Support Staff for the upcoming three years.

The Board of Governors includes 12 community members, the College President, and four elected members representing the students, faculty, support staff and administration of the College.
