Spring Registration for Continuing Education Starts on April 13

New FOCUS Brochure Highlights More than 850 In-Class and Distance Education Offerings

 

Belleville, Ontario, April 13, 2012 – Loyalist College is pleased to present its Spring 2012 FOCUS on Lifelong Learning brochure, which offers more than 850 general interest and professional development courses and diploma and certificate programs.

 

2012 Spring FOCUS“We meet you where you are, by providing continuing education through a variety of learning options, from on-campus to online studies,” says Loyalist President, Maureen Piercy. “Through our flexible courses and programs, we empower people to gain experiences and knowledge that will help them to achieve their personal and professional goals. The quality of training and customer service we deliver consistently receives outstanding ratings from our students, 97 percent of whom say they would recommend us to family and friends.”

 

According to a provincial year-end report, Loyalist College experienced a 9.3 percent increase in online enrolment from 2010/11 to 2011/12, the largest year-over-year increase of any Ontario College.

Continuing Education offerings include: 

  • General interest courses such as: Arts, Ceramics, Computers, Culinary, Fitness & Dance, Floral, Health, Languages, Photography, and Technology.
  • Certificate programs on subjects such as: Accounting, Business, Child Development, Computer, Developmental Services Worker, Floral Design, Food Services, Geographical, Gerontology, Hospital, Legal, Nursing, Support Work, Policing, and Supply Chain & Logistics Management.
  • Diploma programs: Early Childhood Education, Internet Applications & Web Development, Office Administration, and Social Service Worker.
