On Friday, June 21, 2013, the Canadian Cancer Society, celebrating its 75th anniversary, hosted the ‘Under the Big Top’ themed Relay for Life at Loyalist College. Loyalist is very proud to be a community partner to the Society, and proud site sponsor for the past 12 years. During the festivities, A Capella Quinte was on hand to sing the National Anthem, while Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy, MPP Todd Smith, MP Daryl Kramp and 8 Wing Commander Colonel Sean Friday addressed the crowd. Fundraising activities were held throughout the evening, and the Survivor’s Victory Lap and Community Spirit Theme Lap were highlights of the event.
A Capella Quinte sang O Canada prior to the opening ceremonies. Retired Professor Bob Young led the choir.
