Pottery Open House at Studio in Downtown Belleville

May 04, 2009

The Loyalist College Pottery Studio is pleased to welcome community members to an Open House at their location in the Core Centre at 223 Pinnacle Street on Saturday, May 9th. Guests can enjoy demonstrations in hand building, decorating and wheel throwing throughout the day while having the opportunity to view and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery.

“We are very pleased to be located in the Core Centre in downtown Belleville,” said Sharon Campbell, coordinator of the Loyalist Continuing Education arts programs. “We are drawing to the conclusion of our second year in the centre and sincerely enjoy being part of the vibrant artistic community within the neighbourhood. It’s wonderful to see our pottery program, which is known for its instructors who are outstanding professional potters, thrive and flourish in its new surroundings. The numbers continue to increase with the registration of new and returning students. The Open House is the ideal opportunity for guests to both see and purchase the beautiful pieces being created in the centre.”

The pottery demonstration and sale is being held on Saturday, May 9th from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Core Centre, 223 Pinnacle Street, in downtown Belleville.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
