New Opportunity for Loyalist College Graduates to Build Their Diploma into a Degree at Royal Roads University
A new agreement between Loyalist College and Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, provides graduates from three Loyalist programs the opportunity to build upon their diploma with advanced standing in the BA in Justice Studies program. Graduates of the Loyalist Child and Youth Worker, Police Foundations, and Community and Justice Services Worker diploma programs, who meet the appropriate prerequisite qualifications and entrance criteria, are eligible for third-year entry in the degree program. The new agreement is representative of Loyalist College’s expanding network of articulation agreements that enable graduates to receive advanced standing in university degree programs, saving them valuable time and financial resources as they pursue further studies and turn their diplomas into degrees.
“Forming this partnership broadens the far-reaching scope of exciting opportunities for Loyalist College students and graduates,” said Loyalist President Maureen Piercy. “Loyalist has a long-standing relationship with Royal Roads University and we welcome this additional opportunity for our students to receive advanced standing as they continue their studies at such a well-respected university. We know their Justice Studies degree will enhance the solid career-oriented skills our students have developed at Loyalist.”
