Colleges Ontario has selected a photograph submitted by Loyalist student Ophelie Migneault to be included in the Colleges Ontario’s 2010 desktop calendar. Full- and part-time students at Ontario’s 24 colleges were invited to submit a photo related to the theme You are Here: A College Experience. Twelve photographs were selected from the 103 entries by the panel of judges, which consisted of members of the visual arts and college communities. The photo contest began last fall and the top 12 photographs were showcased in February at the Colleges Ontario 2009 Conference in Toronto. Students were given the opportunity to be literal or abstract in their interpretations. The 2010 desk calendars will be released this fall and include a brief biography of each student photographer.
