Loyalist Presents 282 Awards at the Annual Undergraduate Awards Ceremony

November 14, 2012

Belleville, Ontario, November 14, 2012 – Loyalist College is pleased to announce that during the 22nd Annual Undergraduate Awards Ceremony on November 13th, 282 awards worth a total of $160,575 were presented to Loyalist students. For many recipients, the financial assistance they receive makes a significant difference in helping to set them up for success now and in the future when they graduate.

“In addition to the financial support, these awards provide our students with encouragement, community recognition, and motivation,” said Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy. “There is a genuine human connection with donors, whose message is: ‘This is important to your life. Congratulations. Keep up the good work, and continue to reach for your goals.’”

The awards ceremony recognized the achievements and talents of more than 240 student recipients, as well as the generosity of private donors, service clubs, community partners and the College Foundation.
