June 15, 2016

Belleville, Ontario, June 15, 2016 – Loyalist President & CEO Maureen Piercy announced today that she has accepted with much regret the resignation of John McMahon, Senior Vice-President Academic and Student Success. Mr. McMahon will leave Loyalist at the end of August to return to Vanier College in Montreal, where he has been named the new Director General (President). He is a former Academic Dean at Vanier, and will begin his new role there on September 1, 2016.

“I want to recognize and thank John McMahon for his leadership as a member of my Senior team since 2010,” said President Piercy. “John has brought incredible experience, excellence and passion  to his responsibilities. During his time at Loyalist he has introduced new programs and initiatives and has been a strong and effective leader of Loyalist’s Academic and Student Success portfolios. John will be missed by his colleagues at Loyalist, but we wish him every success in his future role leading Vanier College as Director General.”
