Belleville, Ontario, January 18, 2013 – Loyalist College proudly recognized 34 varsity athletes at the annual Athletic Awards Luncheon on January 16th. Student athletes were presented with scholarships in recognition of their athletic, academic and leadership excellence, as well as their contributions to the College’s reputation for athletic excellence.
“We have such talented athletes representing the College,” said Manager of Athletics and Campus Recreation, Jim Buck. “They deserve recognition for their achievements in both the classroom and in their respective sports. When I think of them as a group, these are the words that come to mind: resolute, uncompromising, determined, trustworthy, respectful, talented, intelligent, gifted, competent, capable, astute, and agile. Quite simply, they are inspirational.”
