Quotes

“As you leave the College you will be a different person, changed by what you have learned, and what you have accomplished. The faculty, administration, your parents and friends cannot wait to watch those changes unfold. They will be amazed by your achievements. Perhaps after a few years in the workforce you will become that person who will ‘pay it forward’ by mentoring a recent graduate and helping them on their way to becoming a successful member of society.” – Guest speaker David Pape

“I have heard from a lot of employers over the years who said that their top challenge was identifying and recruiting talent. Through your courses you have learned all about the topic, but you have also learned communication skills, teamwork skills and analytical skills. Make sure prospective employers know all you have to offer!” – Guest speaker Ian Howcroft

“Being a student at Loyalist is about learning various cultures from our international students, it’s about being a family for those in our program, it’s about the passion, pride and tradition you see every week in this Lancer gym, from the court and from the stands – and being proud of our academic successes.” – Valedictorian Emilie Leneveu, Biotechnology Technologist, 2018, and Biotechnology Technician, 2017

“I challenge you to embrace the concept of mentorship and make it part of your life. Seek out opportunities to grow as a person and challenge yourself. Strive to do the best for people in your life and those who follow in your footsteps. Be kind to those around you and make a conscious choice to be a positive force for good in this world.” – Valedictorian Cameron MacLean, Public Relations, 2018; Welding & Fabrication Technician, 2017; and Welding Techniques, 2016
