How Does Online Learning Work? at Loyalist College

January 11, 2011

Enrolment in Loyalist College’s online programs and courses continues to grow, with over 6,000 student registrations over the last year. The range of areas of study is extensive, with options to enhance career opportunities and acquire professional designations. In recognition of the benefits of the flexibility and convenience that distance learning offers, the College is hosting a How Does Online Learning Work? seminar on Wednesday, January 12th from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. The event is free and will be held in Alumni Hall in the Kente Building.

“The interest in learning online continues to grow rapidly,” said Karen Quinney, Coordinator – OntarioLearn, Continuing Education, Loyalist College. “The free seminar on distance learning provides prospective students with the opportunity to discover what learning online is all about as well as ask questions. In addition to an overview of how online learning works, the seminar will cover a number of topics including: how to get help, purchase textbooks, write exams, contact the instructor and access technical support.” Everyone is welcome at the seminar and there is no need to pre-register.

A list of available programs and courses is available online at OntarioLearn.com. For information contact Sara Kelleher at (613) 969-1913, ext. 2185 or skelleher@loyalistc.on.ca.
