November 11, 2013

The Loyalist College Aboriginal Circle on Education and the students and staff of the Aboriginal Resource Centre proudly hosted the 18th Annual Festival of Native Arts on Saturday, November 2 in the Dining Hall. Throughout the course of the day, more than 500 visitors browsed the wares of more than 30 Aboriginal artisans and vendors amid the aroma of Indian Corn Soup and traditional Indian Tacos. Live entertainment was provided by David Finkle and the TechnoSquad and a big visiting drum from the communities of Pikwakanagan. Singers from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory shared an interactive version of Stomp and Round dances, ensuring everyone, young and old, was able to participate.

Angel Kelsey and Donna Lynn Mitchell were among the more than 500 visitors who attended the 18th Annual Festival of Native Arts at Loyalist College on November 2, 2013.
