Belleville Campus Welcomes Guests

April 30, 2013

Today the College community enjoyed the opportunity to showcase its programs and campus to a wide range of groups. A total of 24 Art & Design faculty from the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, and Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, were interested in learning more about the dual credit options available and the pathways students can access to post-secondary education. Tomorrow 24 Biology teachers will be visiting for the same purpose.

Two new groups of students began dual credit programs – Media and Trade Samplers.  The students will attend classes on campus, two days each week until the end of May. Those successfully completing one of these options will have a dual credit recognized as a high school and Loyalist College credit.

A group of Bayside Secondary School students were introduced to programs in the School of Media, Arts and Design. Their visit included an overview of the Media Experience, Broadcast Engineering Technology, Journalism – Online, Print & Broadcast, Radio Broadcasting, Television & New Media Production, Advertising & Marketing Communications and Animation programs.
