To build excitement around career opportunities in the sciences and to raise awareness of how Loyalist is meeting labour market demands, the College provided tours of the Skills Centre throughout the day. In the cafeteria, Loyalist Biosciences students presented interactive science displays for students and adults to enjoy. Visitors entered a draw to win a $50 gift certificate for the College Bookstore, among other prizes. Five students who won top honours will participate in the 52nd Canada-wide Science Fair in Lethbridge, Alberta.
