2013 Annual General Meeting Dinner and Distinction Awards Ceremony

On November 29, 2013, the Loyalist College Alumni Association hosted its 2013 Annual General Meeting with a dinner and Distinction Awards ceremony in Loyalist’s Club 213.The event included a tour of the new Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Centre and presentation of awards for Alumni Distinction and Employer Recognition. 

 

The Alumni Distinction Awards honour outstanding Loyalist College graduates whose leadership, contributions and innovation make a significant impact every day. Graduates Ken Murphy (TV Broadcasting, 1979) Sandy Sidsworth (Social Service Worker, 1998 and BAA-Human Services Management, 2005) were this year’s recipients.

The Employer Recognition Awards recognize employers who have hired Loyalist graduates and promoted the College within their organization and the community. Livingston International and the City of Quinte West received Employer Recognition Awards for being great supporters of Loyalist College and providing countless internship, placement and employment opportunities to students and graduates.

During the Annual General Meeting, the Alumni Association also welcomed the new 2013-14 Alumni Executive. The Executive welcomes new President Richard Beare (Business, 1971), and new Vice-President George Reddom (Civil Engineering, 1970).
