Loyalist College’s Television and New Media Production students are looking for on-screen talent in the Quinte and Belleville area to take part in their 2011-2012 productions.
“Productions are written and pre-produced by students in the first and second years of the program, and produced entirely by students during their third and final year, explained Kathleen Bazkur, Coordinator of the TV and New Media Production program.” “Crews require talented actors to fulfill both acting and hosting roles for the productions. Production will take place from September 2011 to March 2012 and we are looking for both male and female talent ages 7-60 to act in the three student productions Veridical, Hiding and Dead Time.”
Veridical is a romantic drama that follows the intriguing Daniel Lynch, a man who encompasses the rather unfortunate gift that allows him to foresee terrible events before they occur. Daniel’s only hope lies with Alecia, a young woman who convinces him that he has the power to prevent awful things from happening after he saves her from her own unfortunate demise.
Hiding tells the story of Albert, a boy living in a war-torn society who wants nothing but a normal childhood. His family goes through great lengths to keep him safe as the thrilling story shows the struggle and love of a family in hiding.
Dead Time is a ghost investigation series about supernatural occurrences in Belleville and the surrounding area. Each episode, only one of the two featured stories will be real, leaving the viewer challenged to discern between truth and fiction.
The final productions will be screened on a large screen in the Belleville/Quinte area in March 2012.
Casting auditions will be held at the Quinte West YMCA from open to close on Sunday, September 25th as well as Loyalist College on Thursday, September 29th beginning at 4:00 p.m., and Quinte Mall on Saturday, October 1st from 9:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
