Johan Cooke Recognized as Educator of the Year

On May 6, 2013, Johan Cooke was presented with the Sir Mackenzie Bowell Educator of the Year Award during a ceremony at the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board’s Education Centre. Johan is the Principal at Quinte Christian High School (QCHS), and will retire this year after 34 years at the school.  

During his teaching career, Johan brought both innovation and excitement to his students and school community. He was instrumental in designing the new school, which opened in 2006. He is dedicated to ensuring the success of his students, both past and present. Two Loyalist College staff members were on the Award Committee and helped to organize the event.
