Debbie Bridger and Lauren Deans from the College Health Centre worked their magic again this year by organizing a gift drive for students and their families. The generous support of the Loyalist community included donations from individuals, departments and groups – and friends in the Cardiopulmonary Unit at Belleville General Hospital. This made it possible to support 16 families with a total of 36 children ranging from 10 months to 15 years of age. In addition to the children’s gifts each family received a grocery gift card. This is the fifth consecutive year that the drive has been held.
“We could not have this program without the generous support of the College community,” said Debbie Bridger. “Many thanks to those who contributed and shopped – you did an amazing job. You have helped to make 36 children very happy this year.”
