Joe Roberts, a Loyalist graduate who is leading ‘The Push for Change: Uniting for Homeless Youth’ was in Belleville on Thursday, April 19th to discuss his latest venture. Joe, a former homeless street kid turned successful businessman, is planning to push a shopping cart across Canada in 2013 to build awareness and support. For the cause, Joe will cover close to 8,000 km, walking up to a marathon per day for close to 200 days. As part of a build up for the cross-country tour, there will be a 1,000 km ‘pilot’ trek from Calgary to Vancouver this summer.
