Most project costs are covered through funding (pending partner eligibility). These costs are supported by an industry partner (cash and/or in-kind contribution). We support the funding application process, so partners don’t need to apply directly.
Also known as “fee-for-service,” this option is ideal for quick-turnaround projects that fall outside traditional research models. We provide a quote upfront, and invoice upon completion. Perfect for leveraging our technical expertise and equipment.
Students work with industry partners during the academic term under faculty supervision to tackle real-world challenges. These projects are low-cost or free, offering an accessible way to engage in research and innovation while supporting the next generation of innovators.

Research Ethics Board (REB)
Loyalist College Research Ethics Board (REB) consists of faculty, staff and community volunteers committed to ensuring that research involving human participants meets the standards set forth by the Tri-Council Policy Statement on Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans.
