OSAP

Once you have submitted your OSAP application, you will be instructed to submit supporting documents. OSAP supporting documents are required in order for your application to be processed. Submit these as soon as possible.

How to access your required documents:

  1. Log in to your online account OSAP Application: Log In (gov.on.ca)
  2. Click on “My Apps”
  3. Click on “Submitted Applications” for the proper academic year
  4. Click on “View Documents & Print/Upload”
  5. To access your personalized documents, click on “Print/Save” and use the “Form Password”
  6. For a description of each document that you are required to submit, click on the document’s name
  7. Submit each document as per the instructions (make sure all pages are uploaded)

OSAP requires documents to be uploaded in PDF format for processing. You can do this on your own!

Most mobile devices have the ability to scan paper documents directly into a PDF file using the camera. Some options include:

Documents on a computer can be converted easily as well. Most word processing programs like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice will allow you to “save as” PDF format. These programs also allow you to insert pictures, so both images and text documents can be converted this way.

Use optional uploads if you have reached the maximum number of uploads (ignore the message that says you’ve already uploaded, you have unlimited uploads in optional).

If you receive a message saying the file size if too big, open the PDF and click file. Under “save as” or “save as other” there is often an option for a reduced size PDF.

Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA)

You will be required to complete a Master Student Financial Aid Agreement (MSFAA). The National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) will send you a welcome email when it’s time for you to register for your online account and complete your MSFAA online. After you’ve submitted your OSAP application, keep an eye on your inbox for this email. You can also find this link under your required documents page two-to-three days after you submit OSAP application, as well as the 10-digit MSFAA number.

The MSFAA is a legal agreement between you and the federal and Ontario governments. It outlines your responsibilities and the terms and conditions of accepting and repaying student loans. There is a two-step process to complete your MSFAA:

  1. Register online with the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) using your 10-digit MSFAA number
  2. Complete the MSFAA and accept the terms and conditions
