Orientation schedule
Community Integration Through Cooperative Education (CICE) Orientation
- 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
CICE Orientation includes introductions from the Program Coordinator, Integration Facilitators and Placement Liaison.Parents/guardians can attend an information session while new students take a campus wide tour. Lunch will be provided and served outside on the patio. Loyalist Life Ambassadors will be available for activities in the afternoon.Pre-registration is required. Questions? Indigenous Students Orientation (Room 1H6)
- Noon – 3 p.m.
Early Residence move-in. - 3 p.m.

Official Welcome (Gymnasium)
- 9:30 a.m.
Join us in the gym for the Official Welcome hosted by your Student Government. The event will include a welcome address from the Loyalist College President and CEO, welcome package distribution and interactive games.
Academic Orientation (Mandatory)
- 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Directly following the Official Welcome, your Program Coordinator will lead you to your classroom for Academic Orientation. During this important session, your faculty will review key dates and information to support your success in your program.
Loyalist Life Orientation (Shark Tank Pub Patio)
- 12:30 – 3 p.m.
Come to the Shark Tank Pub Patio and check out the ultimate introduction to student life at Loyalist College! Enjoy a free BBQ lunch, pick up your exclusive red Loyalist hoodie, conquer the rock wall and meet new friends along the way.
Plant Party (Link Lounge)
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Decorate and personalize a pot and take home a new plant friend.
Campus Tours
- Noon
Meet at the front entrance for a full campus tour led by the Recruitment team.
Loyalist Life Bingo (Shark Tank Pub)
- 6 – 9 p.m.
Bring your luck for a chance to shout “BINGO!” and win Loyalist Bookstore merch and gift cards.
Sundaes and Snow Cones (Shark Tank Pub Patio)
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Drop by to play a few rounds of lawn games and connect with fellow students outside on the Shark Tank Pub Patio. Enjoy ice cream sundaes and snow cones.

Glow Party (Shark Tank Pub)

Let’s glow! Everyone is welcome at the all-ages licensed Shark Tank Pub. Government issued ID and a student number are required for entry. Free white t-shirts, glowing accessories and paint provided.

Friday Night Lights

Join us for a pre-game party at the Sports Court!

Orientation FAQs
Orientation is the start of your college journey!
All first semester students are encouraged to fully participate in the activities. Orientation is a great way to get to know your classmates and faculty and find out everything you need to know for a successful first semester.
Orientation Day, which includes the Official Welcome and a mandatory Academic Orientation, takes place on Sept. 8 at Loyalist’s Belleville campus (376 Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd.).
Please check the online schedule for a full summary of Orientation events, times and locations.
You can travel to the Belleville campus by car, bike, public transit or on foot. Parking is free for Orientation Day.

There are no classes scheduled on Sept. 8 (this excludes apprenticeship students) so that you can attend all activities.
Classes begin on Sept. 9. Please check your class schedule on the myLoyalist portal under the “My Information” tab. Schedules will be available in early August.
Career and College Prep Bootcamps
The Career and College Prep Bootcamps offer incoming first-year domestic students an opportunity to brush up on English and Math skills before starting their programs in September. Bootcamps will take place asynchronously, online from Aug. 10 – 13 and Aug. 17 – 20.
