Admission requirements by program

In addition, all programs have English language requirements. If your first language is not English, you must submit evidence of your English proficiency as part of your application.

English language proficiency requirements 

All instruction at Loyalist College is conducted in English. To excel in our programs, strong skills in communication, listening, reading, and writing for post-secondary studies are essential. If English is not your first language or you studied in another language, you must provide an English proficiency assessment. Please submit test scores from one of the following tests with your application:

Credential Assessment 

Since your educational documents are international, you may need to arrange for a Credential Assessment Report to proceed with your admission application. Once we review the documents, you will be notified if additional documentation is necessary. Please visit the websites of recommended companies for detailed instructions on obtaining the required report.

  • Please note: Transcripts not in English or French must be translated into English. You should provide word-for-word translations of all documents in the same format as the original. Include original or certified “true” copies of all high school, college, and university records, along with their English translations, with your application form.
