Open to the community! Unwind is Loyalist College’s training spa, run by students in the Esthetics and Spa Management program. Enjoy a range of services, from traditional esthetics to medical spa treatments and advanced body therapies.

Hours
Unwind is currently open:
- Thursdays, 12 – 5:30 p.m.
- Fridays, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The clinic will not run on the following dates:
- 2nd year placement (Friday, Apr. 11 and 18)
During the upcoming Spring semester, Unwind will be open Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the following days:
- May 1
- May 8
- May 15
- May 22
- May 29
- June 5
After June 5, Unwind will close for the summer and will reopen in the Fall.

- Parking is free for Unwind clients. We will provide you with a parking pass to use during your visit.
- Unwind spa is located through the main Kente building entrance next to the health centre.
- You will be required to fill out a health record prior to treatments; please arrive 10 minutes early.
- Please bring open-toed shoes for pedicure appointments.
- Please do not shave 24 hours prior to a body treatment or pedicure service.
- Debit, Mastercard and Visa are accepted for spa treatments, services, gratuities and product purchases.

About Unwind
Clients of Unwind are a part of classroom learning experience allowing students to perform treatments and customer service skills in a live spa environment. This is a graded course for the students and faculty feedback and support is a part of the class.
Education is always the focus of any spa appointment, and clients can expect to receive an in-depth consultation regarding at-home skin, body, and nail care regimes when they visit.
As the spa is a learning institute, specialized treatments are offered as they fit the curriculum throughout the academic year. Faculty appreciate the support and understanding that clients show when booking and receiving treatments, as there may be times when students are still at the early stages of learning. As such, treatment times may not necessarily reflect what is listed on our menu of services; students are working toward meeting goals of common industry service standards.
The spa boasts a high-end retail boutique for clients’ prescriptive skin, nail, and body care needs. All retail products are gift-wrapped to support our students’ merchandising skills.
