Belleville, Ontario, March 28, 2022 – Loyalist College will host its 55thAnnual Convocation celebrations in person once again, with a series of ceremonies from June 6 – 10 that will bring together graduates, friends, family, community partners, alumni and College employees and recognize an important milestone in student life and development.

“I am thrilled to once again celebrate our remarkable graduates on campus for Loyalist College’s Annual Convocation ceremonies,” said Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan, President and CEO of Loyalist College. “Over the past two years, our students have demonstrated tremendous resiliency, dedication, and a will to contribute to the communities in which they live and work, despite the uncertainty and challenges we have collectively experienced in the face of a global pandemic. From administering vaccinations at the Regional Immunization Centre on campus, to cooking meals for those in need, and constructing shelters for COVID-19 testing centres, our students have stepped up in countless ways, while also adjusting to virtual learning and hybrid program delivery. Convocation is the College’s opportunity to show our students how proud we are of the work they have done and that we recognize the leaders they are becoming.”

The College will also invite graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021, who were unable to walk across the stage due to public health restrictions, to attend a special ceremony of recognition.
