Belleville, ON, Nov. 2, 2022 – Beginning this fall, Loyalist College Training & Knowledge Centre, in partnership with Promineo Tech, is offering 18-week coding bootcamps to meet the need for a skilled tech workforce in Ontario. The short, intensive bootcamp programs prepare students to fill roles in a quickly growing sector and provide training in hard and soft skills to help students launch their careers.

“In every industry, businesses are updating their practices by expanding their digital strategies, automating their processes, and adopting tech-based solutions to achieve their goals,” said Jeremy Laurin, Loyalist College Senior Vice President, External Relations and Business Development. “Loyalist’s bootcamps ensure that learners in the Bay of Quinte region have access to the foundational skills in coding and software development to help them thrive in a labour market that values adaptable, technology-savvy employees.”

With a flexible, online delivery model, bootcamp offerings in Front End Software Development and Back End Software Development equip adult learners with the skills they need to become competitive applicants in the IT industry. A virtual classroom environment connects students with instructors, mentors and industry professionals to facilitate learning and career path navigation.

“We’re very excited to partner with Loyalist College Training & Knowledge Centre to bring affordable coding and technology bootcamp programs to residents of Ontario,” said Nick Suwyn, President of Promineo Tech. “Everyone should have the opportunity to explore careers in technology if that’s their desire, and these programs will help make that possible.”
