Belleville, ON, Nov. 18, 2022  – This week, 202 Loyalist College students received 260 awards worth a total value of $222,975 during the Fall Awards Mixer on Nov. 17.

Students, staff, donors and community partners gathered at the College to celebrate student accomplishments, mingle over appetizers, and tour the renovated learning environments on Loyalist’s campus.

“To our award recipients – congratulations on your achievements,” said Mark Kirkpatrick, Acting President of Loyalist College. “We know that financial support allows you to focus on what’s important: completing your studies and building your future. To our donors and community members – a heartfelt thank you for the unwavering support that helps our community of learners achieve their dreams. After two years apart, we’re thrilled to host our close-knit network of supporters on campus and share the big things happening at Loyalist, from our upgraded campus facilities and new brand identity to our innovative, community-focused programming.”

Many of the awards were provided by donors through The Loyalist College Foundation, which was established in 1995 to provide leadership in meeting the goals for long-term development and fundraising to benefit Loyalist students and programs. Individuals, businesses and community organizations donated other funds.

“The Loyalist College Foundation was created in the spirit of community care that lives at the heart of Loyalist’s core values,” said Brian Smith, Chair of The Loyalist College Foundation. “Congratulations to all award recipients. We are proud to be your community champions as you pursue post-secondary education.”
