“On behalf of Loyalist College, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Kawartha Credit Union for this generous donation,” said Mark Kirkpatrick, Loyalist College Acting President. “As the College continues to work with our partners on closing critical skills gaps in the region’s healthcare ecosystem, this donation will ensure our students have the financial supports they need to be successful in their postsecondary journey, and make an immediate impact in the workforce.”

Kawartha Credit Union continues to support Loyalist College with annual donations of $5,000 to provide bursaries to students in health science programs at the Bancroft campus. This includes the Paramedic, Practical Nursing and Personal Support Worker programs. To date they have donated $53,000 for this bursary, with over 50 students benefiting from their generous support.

“Giving back to our communities is a vital component of Kawartha Credit Union’s culture. We truly live our value of care for others by supporting the financial success and well-being of our members and the communities we serve through our Community Involvement Program. Since 1998 we have donated over $3 million to charitable and social causes that support health, education, youth and the environment. We are pleased to donate bursary funds to Loyalist College (Bancroft) to enable the pursuit of postsecondary education,” commented Crystal Dayman, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Kawartha Credit Union.
