Loyalist College graduate employment rate highest in Ontario

Belleville, Ontario, Jan. 25, 2023 – Loyalist College is the number one college in Ontario for grads getting jobs, according to annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results released today by Colleges Ontario. The research shows that 92.3 percent of 2020–21 Loyalist graduates were employed within six months of graduation, 8.9 percent higher than the provincial average for Ontario’s 24 colleges.

Loyalist satisfaction rates also received top marks, with 100 percent employer satisfaction, 11.1 percent above the provincial average, and 81.5 percent graduate satisfaction, 6.1 percent above the provincial average.

Even as the College experiences record-setting enrolment, small class sizes and highly personalized instruction continue to differentiate Loyalist College. The strong KPI results are received as the College celebrates the launch of its new brand ethos around the power of a small campus and close community ties: Small gives us the power to do big things.

The annual Ontario colleges’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) allow colleges to monitor year-over-year progress against their goals and determine ways to improve their programs that support the student experience. KPI results also give prospective students details to help them make informed choices about post-secondary education.

The KPIs were developed collaboratively by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, Colleges Ontario and student associations in response to the Ontario provincial auditor’s 1996 recommendations for outcomes-based accountability measures for public investment in college education. Since 1998, the provincial KPI data have been gathered annually by two independent research firms for the colleges and the Ministry.
