Loyalist College Residence provides a safe and vibrant community in a wooded country setting that engages students in enriching living and learning experiences. Our residence program provides an ideal transition support to college life. With 606 beds between two different styles of fully furnished residences (apartment or townhouse), students will benefit from live-in peer support, full-time professional staff, 24/7 security staff and a variety of social and developmental programming opportunities. With transit that stops right on campus, you’ll have easy access to all the perks of city living, with the convenience of waking up within walking distance of your classes.

In Belleville, we have two types of residence buildings – apartment and townhouse style.

Apartment style
We have a total of five apartment-style residences situated on campus close to classes, transit, and downtown Belleville. Our Apartment-Style Residences have accommodations for 476 students.
Each apartment has six individual bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a common living area. Single occupancy bedrooms contain a twin bed, study desk and chair, desk lamp, dresser, night table, bookshelf and a corkboard. Common kitchen and dining areas are equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, dining tables and chairs, love seat, and a coffee table.
Accessible accommodations are offered exclusively within the apartment-style units. These units are equipped with assistive features, including barrier-free room designs, accessible appliances, and strobe lights integrated with the fire alarm system. If you require an accessible room, please ensure that this is reflected in your StarRez application and follow the steps to apply for an accommodation.
Townhouse complex
Our townhouse-style residences are also located on campus, right outside of the Kente building, and a short walk from Residence Commons.

The residences feature laundry facilities, a sports pad with basketball hoops, a beach volleyball court, and outdoor barbecues. The Residence Commons building offers study rooms, a coffee shop, a lounge with a fireplace, a big screen TV, and security-protected areas for socializing, studying, and enjoying events like open mic nights. Enthusiastic Residence Assistants are on hand to promote a positive living environment.
Fees
A $25 programming fee will apply to each contract term to cover educational and social programming. The programming fee will be applied to your student account with your residence fees.

Townhouse fees do not include utilities or internet. Utilities are billed directly to your student account in one lump sum fee of approximately $400 per term. For internet, fees are coordinated between residents via an external contractor.
