Loyalist College Security

In an emergency, Loyalist Security can be reached at the Belleville Location for 24 hours a day at the following numbers:

Good2Talk Line

Good2Talk is a free, completely confidential, and anonymous helpline for colleges and university students in Ontario. It is available 24/7 in English and French. Students can talk to a professional counsellor to receive immediate telephone counselling support and referral for face-to-face support in their school or local community. 

Crisis Intervention Centre

The Crisis Intervention Centreresponds to crisis calls 24 hours a day and offers emergency mental health intervention from 7:30 am – 11:30 pm daily. You can call or walk into their office or the Emergency Department of BGH to be seen by the first available counsellor. 

LGBT Youth Line

LGBT YouthLine is a Queer, Trans, Two-Spirit youth-led organization that affirms and supports the experiences of youth (29 and under) across Ontario. 

We do this by: 

  • Providing anonymous peer support and referrals 
  • Training youth to provide support to other youth 
  • Providing resources so youth can make informed decisions 

Guard.ME Student Support Program 

Get 24/7 access to mental health support, including access to counsellors by telephone or text. Support is available anywhere in the world and in multiple languages.

Students receive support from licensed counsellors working directly with the GuardMe Student Support Program.

Coverage

Eligibility 

Only full-time and part-time day students at the Belleville, Bancroft, Tyendinaga and Port Hope campuses are eligible to receive coverage based on the terms of the service.  

GuardMe Student Support Program can help you with: 

  • Health: stress, sadness, anxiety, depression, wellness  
  • Living Away: loneliness, confidence, time-management  
  • Relationships: family, friends, roommates, culture, communication  
  • Student Life: study habits, school-life balance, academic stress 

Loyalist College Counselling Services provides in-person and virtual services via the Health and iMPACT Centre.
