Loyalist College recognizes that accessibility is a College-wide responsibility. The college is committed to ensuring that its programs, services and facilities are accessible through an ongoing process facilitated by the College Accessibility and AODA working groups. The working groups ensure that the college is meeting its responsibilities as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. In doing so, the college adheres to the following core principles:

AODA policies and procedures

AODA policies, procedures, and practices are meant to guide members of the college community in their day-to-day dealings. Students, staff, faculty, volunteers the public and others can refer to these documents for guidance in a number of matters.

Multi-year plan

In accordance with our organizational obligations under the AODA, Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11, s. 4(1) (2)), the college has prepared this multi-year plan. The college has taken a strategic approach to implementation, recognizing that the AODA obligations are far reaching, with varying levels of responsibility across the college. The multi-year plan is a fluid document and framework that provides high-level deliverables and activities over the next three to five years.
