A fee payable to OCAS must accompany the application form.

Learn more about applying at ontariocolleges.ca

Through ontariocolleges.ca, you can apply for up to five programs with a maximum of three at any one college in Ontario.

The early application deadline to be given equal consideration by the colleges is February 1. However, Loyalist and most other colleges continue to take applications up to the start of classes in September. Some programs fill up quickly – early application will increase your chances of being accepted to the program of your choice.

Applicants who have successfully completed a portion of a program at an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology will be accepted into the same or a similar program at Loyalist College with appropriate transfer credits for training and education already completed.

Loyalist is committed to maximizing the accessibility of all our programs to learners with partial or complete credentials from colleges or universities. Applicants with training at other institutions are advised to submit their documentation of such formal education to Loyalist at the time of application.

Applicants who are 19 years of age on the first day of classes in the year of admission, and who do not have an OSSD, are considered as mature applicants. Such applicants must complete the required subjects for admission. If they lack the required subjects, they may be requested to write a diagnostic test. Mature applicants are treated on an individual basis and should consult admissions@loyalistcollege.com as early as possible to determine if pre-entry testing and/or college preparatory studies are required.

NOTE: Applicants who are not Canadian citizens or who do not have permanent residence status are not considered under this clause.

Qualified continuing students need only to register at Loyalist to advance directly from one year to the next. Part-time students or individuals who wish to re-enroll in a program after sitting out one or more semesters must re-apply by using an internal Loyalist College application, available from Enrolment Services. All first-year students or new students must submit an application to ontariocolleges.ca.

In order to be considered for admission to Loyalist, applicants must provide proof of academic standing equivalent to a Grade 12 Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Applicants from outside Ontario – including international applicants – must submit certified transcripts of their grades. Applicants whose first language is not English must provide documented proficiency in English.

Keep an eye on your email and check your ontariocolleges.ca account for details about your application status.

Have you received an offer? Congrats! Confirm your offer of admission as soon as possible and review next steps for applicants.

If you are waitlisted, you can accept an offer to another program and still stay on the waiting list.

Notify ontariocolleges.ca and they will amend your application.
