Construction updates

Construction continues on campus this season. We’ll keep you updated with all the important info as it comes in to ensure you can smoothly navigate to and around campus. In the meantime, be prepared for some noise and make sure to watch your step as you get around the halls. 

Belleville: Use the Parrott Centre Library door as the main entrance to the Kente building while construction is underway.

Loyalist Entrance and Athletic Facilities (LEAF), Belleville 

On Sept. 21, 2023, the college broke ground on the Loyalist Entrance and Athletic Facilities (LEAF) initiative. This multi-year investment will revitalize student spaces at the heart of our Belleville location and meet the needs of our growing community.  

Designed by Kasian Architecture and supported by Peak Construction Group Ltd., the LEAF projects will result in a state-of-the-art gym, new athletic facilities, gender-inclusive washrooms, and new lounge spaces for students to study and connect. This work will transform the college’s front entrance into a more inviting entry point for students, employees, industry partners and community members to access the college.

Port Hope 

As part of the College’s commitment to expanding access to education, Loyalist’s new location in Northumberland County is an essential pathway for learners of all ages to pursue life-changing educational opportunities within their community. 

Construction at the new campus, located on the site of the former St. Mary’s Elementary School in downtown Port Hope, is currently underway.

Nourish restaurant 

Loyalist looks forward to opening the doors to Nourish at our Belleville location in Fall 2024. This fully licensed restaurant will include a 100-seat dining room with a patio overlooking the campus grounds.  

As an integral part of developing tomorrow’s industry professionals, Nourish provides an opportunity for Culinary students to put their new practical skills and theoretical knowledge to the test in a fully operational kitchen, serving real food, to real customers.
