How to register for open enrolment courses
Open enrolment courses, offered directly by Loyalist College or in partnership with OntarioLearn, are courses available to all individuals for personal or professional development. These courses do not require an application or assessment of admission requirements.
Step 1: Review the program requirements and your progress
- Review the courses required to complete the program you are following. You should complete the courses in the order they are listed on the website.
- If you are a returning student, review the courses you have completed in myLoyalist > Banner > Student Services > Student Records > All Grades > View Unofficial Transcript
Step 2: Review available courses and key dates at Loyalist Focus
- Visit Loyalist Focus and search by course or program.
Step 3: Register for courses
- Go to Loyalist Focus, add courses to your cart and proceed to checkout. Pay by credit card* to complete your registration.
- If you are a returning student, sign in with your Loyalist College student number and PIN. The default PIN is your birth date (YYMMDD).
- If you are a new student, create an account. Please do not create duplicate student accounts.
*If you are an OSAP-funded student, you can pay a non-refundable $100 deposit and submit a course selection form to request registration. Please note that not all open enrolment programs are OSAP-eligible. More information about open enrolment programs and OSAP.
Registration changes
To withdraw from one or more courses after registration, submit a course drop form. Course drops submitted up to the 10th day of classes are eligible for a refund, less a $20 administrative fee (for course registrations made on Loyalist Focus).
