Belleville, ON, Oct. 25, 2022 – Today, Loyalist College proudly launches Destination Loyalist, a leading-edge digital campus experience created in partnership with Arcadis IBI Group, a global leader in technology-driven design.

“The pandemic accelerated an already shifting post-secondary landscape to prioritize new digital modes of engagement for students,” said Mark Kirkpatrick, Acting President of Loyalist College. “As a small, agile institution, Loyalist has quickly adapted. Destination Loyalist is a ‘campus in your pocket’ – a unique virtual resource that connects students, employees, community and industry with information, support and future-focused solutions – anytime, anywhere.”

Bringing Loyalist’s spirit of community and innovation into the next generation of virtual experiences, Destination Loyalist’s continually evolving digital environment will host content on the latest programming and campus news, mirroring the flow of activity for the College’s services and events. The space includes five navigational nodes, each highlighting different aspects of the Loyalist College experience, from a “Welcome” node to “Community,” “Innovation and “Campus Life.” In addition, an “Events” node will provide a virtual gathering place for hosting live events.

Destination Loyalist uses Arcadis IBI Group’s unique IMMRSV technology. Primarily employed for conferences, open houses, and institutional celebrations, IMMRSV is a transformative engagement and event platform that allows users to retain a sense of agency and exploration as they engage with the virtual landscape. Destination Loyalist is the first permanent campus environment using the IMMRSV platform.

“We are proud to partner with Loyalist College as they embrace the future of digital engagement using experiential technology. Their strong vision of a virtually integrated campus is setting the bar for digital student experiences,” said David Thom, President, IBI Group.
