Loyalist College celebrates student achievements during Spring Awards Ceremony
Belleville, Ontario, March 30, 2022 – Last week, Loyalist College was proud to recognize 222 students during its virtual Spring Awards Ceremony. Made possible through the support of 37 donors, including 56 endowed funds, a total of $206,475 was awarded. This brings the total value of awards presented by the Awards Office during this academic year to more than $409,755.
“Congratulations to our award recipients on your achievements,” said Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan. “Despite the ongoing challenges you have experienced in the face of a global pandemic, you have shown remarkable commitment and resilience. I also want to thank our generous donors and the Directors of The Loyalist College Foundation for your support, which allows our students to flourish, to think big, and to graduate as the leaders and innovators our workforce needs.”
During the ceremony, a special appreciation video featuring personal messages of thanks from award recipients, was played for guests.
“On behalf of the Loyalist College Board of Governors, I would like to offer our sincere thanks to the community of supporters, including faculty, staff, donors and The Foundation Board members, who make this event possible,” said Pam Jolliffe, Chair of the Loyalist College Board of Governors. “To the award recipients—congratulations. We can’t wait to see what your future holds.”
Many of the awards were provided by donors through The Loyalist College Foundation, which was established in 1995 to provide leadership in meeting the College’s goals for long-term development and fundraising. Other funds were donated by individuals, businesses and community organizations.
