Please join us in remembering the lives of the lost children and honouring the survivors of Canada’s residential school system during Truth and Reconciliation Week.
From Sept. 23 – 27 and on Orange Shirt Day, Sept. 30, the college’s Tsi Titewaya’taró:roks team will host a series of events and educational opportunities at Loyalist’s Belleville and Port Hope locations to promote understanding of the legacy of residential schools and the significance of Orange Shirt Day.
Loyalist encourages all students, faculty and staff to participate in these events and join the conversation. Learning and commemorating the truth of our history from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit knowledge keepers is an important part of the reconciliation process.
