The Indigenous Services team at the Tsi Titewaya’taró:roks Centre are thrilled to welcome you to Loyalist College and are excited to invite you to our upcoming Indigenous Orientation and Early Residence Move-In day!

This is a fantastic opportunity to get a head start on your college experience. By attending early move-in, you will have a chance to settle into your residence space before the hustle and bustle of the official start of the semester.

Orientation will provide you with essential information about campus life, academic resources, bursary prep and ways to get involved in our vibrant community.

Residence orientation

We can’t wait to meet you and introduce you to the amazing Residence Life experience! A smooth transition to living in Residence starts with move-in day. This year, our move-in weekend will take place September 1, and Residence Orientation will take place on September 2. Check out a detailed schedule below!

Residence move-in day

  • 10 am  – 2 pm: Move-in (Residence Village)
  • 4 pm – 5 pm: Residence meeting (Shark Tank Pub)
  • 5 pm – 9 pm: Residence meet and greet (Shark Tank Pub)

Residence orientation day

  • 10 am – 12 pm: Get to know your Roommates (Your Apartment)
  • 12 pm – 3 pm: Carnival party (Residence Village)
  • 7 pm – 10 pm: Games night (Residence Commons)

No classes are scheduled on Tuesday, September 3, but all first-year students are required to attend Academic Orientation.

Orientation day is your chance to meet your classmates for the first time, get to know campus and have some fun!

  • 9:30 am – 10:30 am: Official welcome (Soccer Field)
  • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm Academic orientation (Rooms Assigned)
  • 12 pm – 3 pm: Shark watch (Shark Tank Pub Patio) Featuring a free BBQ lunch, live music, games, sandcastle competition & a foam party!
  • 9 pm – 1 am: Tiki party (Shark Tank Pub)

Classes start!

  • 11 am – 1 pm: Shark Tank social (Shark Tank Pub and Patio)
  • 4 pm – 6 pm: Campus rec – pickleball
  • 6 pm – 9 pm: Your Creative Junction Workshop – DIY trucker hats (Shark Tank Pub)
  • 7:30 pm – 9 pm: Outdoor movie (Shark Tank Pub Patio)

  • 10:00 am – 12:30 pm: International orientation
  • 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm:  Enjoy a free pizza lunch, get your Loyalist College red hoodie, and sign up for your Loyalist Student ID card.
  • 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Academic orientation sessions: You’ll receive welcome packages with a Student services toolkit and important health plan information.
