Loyalist College and Toronto Business College have ended their partnership because of changes from the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence, and Security (formerly MCU). LCIT will close following the final semester in December 2025.
Yes. We will work with all students to find options to support program completion after December 2025. These options may include equivalent courses (online or in-person) and alternative learning opportunities. The options may also include taking courses at another Loyalist College campus or at another post-secondary institution. While you will still be responsible for the standard course costs outside of your program, you will not pay more than what you would have paid to take the course at LCIT.
Yes. Academic advising will continue to be available to support your program completion planning and course selection. You can meet with your advisor virtually to make sure you stay on track with your graduation requirements and goal.
Yes, supports will still be available. Select Student Services will continue into 2026 to ensure you have the help you need to complete your program. This includes continued virtual access to key supports such as immigration advising, counselling, accessibility services, career support and health insurance assistance. We will ensure you are supported every step of the way.

Yes! Eligible students will have the opportunity to attend a graduation ceremony in Toronto in either June 2025 or February 2026, depending on when you complete your program. More details will be shared closer to the date. If you are not ready to graduate by February 2026, we will work with you individually to determine where and when you will graduate.
Yes. All students who successfully complete their program will receive a Loyalist College credential.
