Experiential learning

This hands-on program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to engage as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team under the supervision of an occupational therapist and/or physiotherapist:

  • Engage in interactive learning experiences in the College’s fitness facilities and with state-of-the-art simulation technology in Loyalist’s newly renovated interprofessional simulation centre.
  • Gain confidence and experience with the implementation and evaluation of safe and effective occupational and physical treatment modalities for individuals of all ages and with a variety of physical, social or cognitive exceptionalities.
  • Learn with registered and experienced occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
  • Develop your communication and applied skills in this particular scope of practice during more than 500 clinical placement hours in a variety of settings.
