LOYALIST COLLEGE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT, CORPORATE SERVICES & CFO

Belleville, Ontario, August 16, 2018 – Loyalist College President and CEO Ann Marie Vaughan has announced that Megan Sheppard has been appointed Senior Vice-President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 11. Ms. Sheppard will succeed Senior Vice-President Cathy Rushton, who will retire at the end of August.

“I am pleased to announce that Megan will join the Loyalist executive team in this important role,” said Dr. Vaughan. “Her post-secondary experience in budgeting and planning and strengths in implementing strategic, financial and business plans will be invaluable as the College moves forward.”

Megan has worked at Queen’s University for the past ten years, where she has served as Associate Vice-Principal, Planning & Budgeting, for the past five years. Previously she served as Senior Financial Analyst at York University and has also held positions at the University of Victoria and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

Megan holds a Masters of Business Administration (Finance), from Dalhousie University, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph. She is a member of the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO) and the Society of College and University Planners (SCUP).

 “I am very excited to take on this role at Loyalist College,” she said. “I look forward to working with President Vaughan and the entire senior management team to achieve the objectives of the Strategic Plan and to position Loyalist as a destination of choice for students and a driver of economic growth for the region.”
