About the Labour Trafficking Applied Research Project

Students in the Protection, Security, and Investigation, Police Foundations, and Customs Border Services programs alongside the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development aim to determine the degree of Labour Trafficking and exploitation within the Loyalist College community. A part of this applied research project involves surveying students, faculty, and staff in consultation with community stakeholders and local governmental agencies. The end goal is to create and provide educational opportunities and identify reporting procedures for potential victims, witnesses, or victim supporters of labour trafficking.
